These are the renderings that I saved from a flood in my basement from a hot water heater bursting, of my designs for a contest, to design a china pattern and fixture for the china pattern, for my intro to product design class in 1993. If I were to do it again, I'd use higher tech mechanisms, for asthetics, plus more asthetically pleasing materials. The fixture design is functional, but lacks charm, and is not grabbing to the eye, in the asthetics dept. |
China pattern called "Light Passion" and china/tabletop fixture design by Kristie Hubler copyright 1993. |
Renderings of china pattern were done to scale, and the fixture rendering/perspective was done 1/2" scale= 1'-0". All the drawings were done in watercolor and colored pencil. Standard 10" dinner plate, 8" salad plate (although, I'd go for a bigger bowl or bigger salad plate), 5" dessert plate, and 5" wide teacup |
