| I use tracing paper, sometimes Xerox paper(s), put together, that I secure, and coat, with clear contact paper sometimes, I use clear acetate, depending on what fabric that I am working with, and the design of the item, or if I have to see the layout of the pattern on the fabric, the clear acetate allows me to see where the pattern's outline lays over the fabric's pattern. After securing the pattern with 1-2 layers of clear contact paper, I punch holes around edge of pattern for sewing pins to secure the pattern to the fabric. I find that it works well. |
